A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you have a cloud hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet really simple to use, and it will allow you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll see a small "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be created with a few clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a semi-dedicated package with our company. The hosting account will be administered via our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses with any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click on the sign with the same name, which will be next to each email address. Deactivating this option can be done in the very same manner and will not require more than one click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been enabled for a given domain name, you will get a warning note. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never replace or disable anything automatically.
